CHP Automation
We have automated several CHP systems and provided long term support for some. One system that we automated was for the provision of energy to a paper mill, and utilised Rockwell PLCs together with RSView for the SCADA. This utilised a gas turbine for electricity generation and heat for steam generation together with dual fuel boilers for additional heat input for steam generation. The complete system including energy distribution was controlled by the Rockwell system, with all salient data being recorded by the SCADA server. Off of the server there were 6 SCADA clients, these providing operators with dynamic mimics, power generation and fuel consumption information, alarms and trends.
