A leading manufacturer of aircraft required a system that tested the aircraft’s fuel tanks to ensure that they were completely leak free and suitable for use. Working with a mechanical partner a system was built and we controlled the test procedure – which comprised of several specialist exercises – by means of a control system using a Siemens S7 300 PLC together with WinCC Flex. The system performed as designed and continues to be used successfully on their production line.
