Production Data Collection System
A world famous sweet manufacturer needed to collect production data from high speed wrapping machines for productivity information. At this time the client did not want a full blown OEE system, just basic data together with the infrastructure that could be used for an OEE system. We implemented the system using a Siemens PLC together with WinCC SCADA and an ASI based network that was used to collect the digital data from multiple relatively high speed sweet wrapping machines. The system proved to be very cost effective and to deliver the required information for the production manager.
