Slurry Manufacture
As part of a process related to battery manufacture, a client required the cost effective automation of a unique process that involved the manufacture of aggressive and difficult to handle slurry. Multiple vessels were involved together with a CIP system, and the whole process area was classified as hazardous. For this system we employed a Siemens PLC and Wonderware SCADA, these being installed in a safe area and connecting back to the plant instruments via isolation barriers. The system ran very well and provided the client with a cost effective solution to this single stream manufacturing plant.
